How many rooms does a family group of 30 need in Corbett?
A 30-member family group typically needs 11 to 13 rooms.
Count one room per two adults, add an extra mattress for one child under twelve, and reserve one buffer room. For 30 people — say 20 adults, 6 children and 4 seniors — that works out to 10 rooms for adults, 2 shared rooms for seniors on the ground floor and 1 buffer room. Family suites reduce the count further because each sleeps four to six.
What does a family group booking cost per person?
₹2,199 to ₹3,499 per person per night, all meals included.
Standard rooms start at ₹2,199, deluxe at ₹2,699 and premium cottages at ₹3,499 per person per night on twin sharing with breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner. Groups above 25 guests get a lower slab and one complimentary room. Jeep safari adds ₹1,800–₹2,400 per person depending on the zone. GST is extra and shown on the quote.
Is a Corbett resort safe and comfortable for senior citizens?
Yes — with ground-floor rooms, ramps, early meals and a doctor on call.
Seniors get ground-floor rooms close to the dining area, ramp access, western toilets with grab support, hot water round the clock and early dinner service at 8 PM. A doctor is on call and Ramnagar's hospitals are 15–20 minutes away. For safari, we recommend the shorter Garjiya or Sitabani route instead of the bumpier three-hour Bijrani drive.
What can children do at the resort?
Kids pool, play area, cricket, cycling, nature walk and bonfire games.
The property has a shallow kids' section in the pool, a play area with swings, lawn cricket and badminton, board games, and a guided nature walk pitched at children. Evenings include bonfire storytelling and antakshari. Cribs, high chairs and early kid-friendly meals — plain dal, rice, pasta, milk — are arranged free of charge on request.
When is the best time for a family group trip to Jim Corbett?
November to February for weather; March to June for tiger sightings.
November to February brings crisp mornings, clear skies and ideal bonfire weather, though early safaris are cold for elders. March to mid-June is hot but gives the highest chance of tiger sightings at waterholes. Monsoon, July to September, is green and cheapest, but core zones like Bijrani close and only Jhirna, Dhela and Sitabani stay open.
How far is the resort from Delhi, and how should a family travel?
About 250 km and 5–6 hours by road from Delhi.
Most family groups drive via Hapur, Moradabad and Kashipur, or hire a tempo traveller or mini coach so everyone travels together with luggage. By train, the Ranikhet Express and Corbett Link Express reach Ramnagar station, 15 minutes from the resort. Pantnagar is the nearest airport at about 85 km; Delhi airport is the practical option for outstation relatives.
Can the whole family go on safari in one slot?
Yes — each jeep seats six, so 30 guests need five jeeps booked together.
Permits are issued against names and government ID numbers, so we collect ID details at least seven days ahead and file all jeeps for the same zone and slot. Elders or families with toddlers who prefer a shorter ride can be placed in the Garjiya or Sitabani group while the rest go into Bijrani, and both parties return around the same time.
What food arrangements are made for a mixed-age family group?
Buffet with a separate pure-veg line, Jain options and kid-friendly dishes.
Menus are finalised a week before arrival from the dietary list you share. We run a separate pure-vegetarian counter, prepare Jain and no-onion-no-garlic dishes, keep low-oil and low-spice options for elders, and hold plain rice, khichdi, milk and fruit available outside meal timings for children. Buffet service is staggered so nobody queues.
